Marc Baroud
Marc Baroud’s carpet explores the space in between, where forms and transitions reveal new rhythms. Inspired by the repetition of steps, his design reflects not only the physical movement they suggest, but also the subtle shifts and connections that happen along the way. By translating this imagery into weaving, Marc transforms a simple architectural gesture into a tactile study of perspective and flow. His carpet embodies his cross-disciplinary approach: finding beauty in what we see, and in the transitions that quietly shape our perception.
Marc Baroud is a cross-disciplinary designer based between Paris and Beirut. His practice thrives in the “space in between,” beyond categorization, where methods, materials, and ideas intersect. Spanning interior design, scenography, furniture, architecture, and brand development, his work is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and local production.
From 2012 to 2017, he founded and directed the Design Department at ALBA, reshaping design education to expand beyond aesthetics into a broader, human-centered practice. Exhibited internationally and represented in major museum collections, Marc’s work is defined by interaction—where objects and spaces remain open to change, shaped and completed by their users.
