Carpet Making Techniques
HAND MADE
Handmade rugs are crafted with care by skilled artisans, using traditional techniques that require time and precision. Each piece reflects the artistry of weaving by hand, resulting in a rug that carries depth, texture, and a sense of authenticity that machine processes cannot achieve. Because of the intricacy of this process, a handmade rug may take up to five months to complete.
HAND TUFTED
Hand tufted rugs are created by inserting yarn into a stretched fabric base using a tufting tool. This method allows for bold patterns, rich colors, and a plush surface that feels soft underfoot. The process is faster than hand-knotting, yet it still preserves the quality and craftsmanship of a rug made by hand. A hand tufted rug generally requires up to three months to produce.
MACHINE MADE
Machine made rugs are produced on advanced looms that ensure uniformity, speed, and efficiency. These rugs are durable, accessible, and versatile, offering a wide variety of designs and sizes — making them ideal for practical use in both modern and traditional interiors. Their efficiency allows them to be completed in as little as one month.
